Six year olds are capable of stringing words together to make a sentence. I know this because I've heard them do it. I hear them do it all day long. But there are times it seems to be very hard for them. This usually happens when a student wants to talk directly to me. I never know if its going to be a question or a statement until it is completely out. It usually sounds like this."Miss Sorenson...Um... I want...Um, Miss Sorenson? I think...My mom...Miss Sorenson, Um... Once...Um..."
AWWHHHH....kinda. They are probably just getting a little nervous talking to an adult other than their parents. HA!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty funny, but I can see how that could get annoying, real fast.
I imagine that is how the conversation is going to go when "Christopher" is old enough to ask you out on a date!

I wish I could remember what he was trying to tell me. I think it was something about it being his cat's birthday tomorrow.
