I Can See You

Some kids think they're pretty sneaky. To be honest - sometimes I let them get away with whatever it is they're being sneaky about. It isn't always worth the battle. Unfortunately for Shawn, today wasn't a day I was letting him get away with things. At the end of the day today we were doing an exercise video (I promise, I really am a good teacher...but by 2:00 I'm ready to not be in charge) and I noticed Shawn was bent over sneaking something out of his pocket. I asked him to come over to my desk (of course I wasn't doing the exercise video with them) and to empty his pockets. This is what he pulled outWatching Shawn sneak Cheetos out of his pocket was like watching this
I really wanted to squish his pocket but realized that'd probably just get me in trouble. I just made him throw them away and he did. But not before trying to sneak a few more in his mouth.

  1. One of my teachers said, "I don't care if you chew gum in my class, but if you get caught, you're in biiiig trouble."

I'm still trying to figure it out.

  2. I sort of feel bad for Shawn. What if he's like me and he just needs to eat all the time? It is kind of ironic though that he was trying to eat Cheetos while exercising.

  3. Hi Kristi! It is Shell, Tiff's sister! She told me your blog was hysterical and she was right! I put you on my feed so I won't miss any funny stuff! You are giving me another perspective on Matthew's 1st grade class and I love it! Oh, and you should know tiff is reading your blog but she pretty much never comments, I on the other hand love to comment!

  4. Yeah, I love the fact that little Shawn was sneaking Cheetos while he was supposed to be focusing on the exercise video. Just imagining the scene makes me laugh.
