Summer is over. Maybe you're not as aware of it as I am. It is. And it kind of hurts. But I think I'll get over it. Instead of writing about everything I did this summer I'll just share some of the highlights through pictures. Enjoy. School posts will be coming soon.

This is my older (and much more mature) brother. He was the hit of a family reunion with his mad biking skills. That bike belongs to his daughter. A nine year old girl. Impressive. (Sorry Nate - had to.)

Spending time with my nieces. We only went swimming a couple of times this summer but I love playing with them. Seriously - how cute are they?

I went to Bear Lake with my family. I love Bear Lake. I love raspberry shakes from Bear Lake (and anywhere really - but especially Bear Lake). I celebrated my birthday there.

(Three of my nieces and nephews. Can never seem to get all of them at the same time. Abby lent me the candle from her own b-day cake. But I couldn't keep it.) My brother also made me a mermaid tail. Cool. Thanks Nate.

I had another family reunion where we hiked to a waterfall. (Pretty bad @$$ waterfall don't you think? There really is water behind them. It was actually very pretty.)

A trip to Playa del Carmen was the finale. I want to move there. Beautiful. (There may also have been a massage on the beach where I may or may not have exposed myself to one lucky man.)

And in between all this goodness were multiple trips to
Lagoona Beach and other pools, a trip to Vegas where I won $10 on the penny slots and lunches with friends. Seriously great summer.
*I went back to work today. Christopher (student from last year) stopped by to see me. We discussed how I am pink (not brown like him), how he wants to be in my class again - or third grade, how he almost learned how to swim this summer and how he's going to eat corndogs on Thursday. He almost made me think I can start another year of school if I get to be around kids like him.
All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good summer!

Yep, definitely a good summer! Looking forward to kid stories. I'm not sure, will Libby' bike ever be the same? Oh, and yes, we do have the cutest neices in the world!
